I looked through past entries for restaurants, but I didn't see anything on the topic. Does anyone have recommendations for casual, fun places to go for dinner on Christmas Eve? Do you have any personal experience of what would be open that night?

Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced photography studio where my partner and I can get our picture taken with our dog? Nothing fancy -- just two dorks in Christmas sweatshirts and a pooch. Sears doesn't allow pets, and that was our forerunner.

Whenever possible, make Pittsburgh a stronger place by doing your shopping--especially your holiday shopping--at locally-owned stores. Money you give to chain stores mostly goes somewhere else. Does anything happen locally around Dia De La Muerte? Any sort of events? Happenings? Goings-on? (I mean, aside from some sort of margarita special at Mad Mex ...)
